What's Hot: Steady, super light and easy to carry, works with all 10" tablets.

What's Not: No soft padding and no rubber feet.

Hub Innovations has released a simple yet very functional tablet stand, Prizm. It's super light and comes in two pieces that you can put together to use and take apart to carry with you on the road. The stand is sturdy and can hold any 10" tablet in any orientation as well as 7"-9" tablets in landscape orientation. The Hub Innovations Prizm Stand comes in an amazing number of anodized colors including green, blue, pink, purple, red, yellow and black as well as premium metals like 14k gold, antique brass, antique copper, antique nickel and carbon fiber.

Design and Features

The Prizm Stand has a simple yet ingenius design. It comes in two hard aluminum and precious metal pieces, curved to form the stand. Slide the two pieces together to assemble the stand, and take them apart, the two flat pieces can easily fit in any computer bag or backpack. The material is sturdy and the stand can easily take the weight of any 10.1" tablet. You can use your tablet in both portrait and landscape orientations in the stand. We tested it with the new iPad 3rd gen and several 10" Android tablets, the Prizm Stand worked with all easily. You can also use the stand with your 9", 8" and 7" tablets, but with the smaller tablets, you may have to use it in landscape mode only.

The Prizm Stand comes in an incredible number of anodized colors, so you can find one that goes with your desk and room decor. The coating can chip if you hit the pieces on something hard. We would love to see the bottom of the stand and the parts that touch the tablet had soft coating or rubber covers to prevent the stand from sliding on slippery surfaces like a glass table. The stand doesn't scratch the tablet, but a soft surface might prevent the tablet sliding should you bump it in the stand. The two flat pieces weighs only 1.6 oz., and if you need a phone sized stand, Prizm also comes in a smaller size for smartphones as well.

The Hub Innovations Prizm 2-piece aluminum stand is a good solution if you need to carry a stand with you on the road. It's light and takes practically no space in your luggage or computer bag. It's sturdy and easy to use. The stand works with any tablet and comes in a phone size as well. We like the color selection and Hub Innovations has been adding new colors to the model. Do be careful if you use this at home and keep the disassembled pieces out of children's hands.

Price: $29.95 for the tablet stand, $24.95 for the phone stand
