AT&T Announces Pantech Flex: Sharp Smartphone with Budget Price
      09/04/12 09:12 AM

Looking for an affordable Android phone on ATT but don't want a smartphone with a tiny display or an outdated OS? No problem. The Pantech Flex goes on sale September 16 for $49.99 with contract. And it looks to be a pretty decent phone with Android OS 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and a qHD Super AMOLED 4.3" display. It's all powered by a 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU. The Flex has a front 2 megapixel camera and an 8 megapixel rear camera that can shoot 1080p video.

AT&T's billing this as the smartphone newbie-friendly phone because it has an option to change from standard Android ICS mode to a simplified UI with large tiles. The phone comes with SwiftKey, one of our favorite software keyboards and the usual bevvy of AT&T apps.
