Cheero Energy Plus 12000mAh Battery Review
      09/16/14 03:46 PM

Cheero is a newcomer in portable battery charger space but the company is rapidly growing in both Japan and the U.S. One of their bestselling battery chargers is the Energy Plus battery with 12000mAh capacity and two USB charging outputs that simultaneously charge two devices. One major factor that elevates Cheero's products above many on the market is their insanely affordable price. The Energy Plus 12000mAh battery, for an example, launches at $29.49 release special price. Wow!

Design

The Cheero Energy Plus 12000mAh Battery has a simple milky white housing with faux chrome band wrapped around the sides. The battery has all its ports on one side including the micro USB recharging port, two USB output ports and a flashlight. The battery offers only one control button for starting a charge, checking battery level and turning on/off the built-in flashlight. There are four LED lights on the front of the battery indicating power levels. The battery looks modern and its size should allow you to carry it in a travel gear bag, any backpack or even a purse. It measures 5.9 x 2.7 x 0.6 inches and it weighs 10 ounces. The Cheero Energy Plus 12000mAh Battery comes with an AC adapter, a USB cable and a carrying case and it's currently in white only.

Features

At 3.7V 12000mAh, this Lithium-Polymer battery indeed packs a punch. It can easily charge an 8" tablet such as the NVIDIA Shield Tablet twice, an iPhone 5s about 4 times, a phablet Android phone 3 times and the iPad Air about 80% of a full charge. The Cheero Energy Plus 12000mAh Battery has two 5V output ports, one with 1A power and the other 2.1A for tablets. It can charge two devices simultaneously and it takes 2 to 2.5 hours to charge up a phone and about 4 hours to charge a tablet.

The Cheero Energy Plus 12000mAh Battery comes with a 2A USB charging adapter and can fast recharge the large battery overnight (about 8-10 hours to fully recharge). The Lithium Polymer battery should offer 500 times of recharging and has built-in overcharge, short circuit and over heating protection. The Cheero Energy Plus also offers another convenient feature: a small built-in flashlight. Press and hold the power button to turn it on and off.

Conclusion

Need something beefy for overseas flights, long delay at airports or going on a trip away from power outlet for a while? The Cheero Energy Plus 12000mAh Battery gives you ton of power if you need to charge your phone, plenty for a smaller sized tablet and pretty good fill for a large tablet. The battery is easy to use, comes with its own AC charger and cable, and it's incredibly affordable. We like the simultaneous charging of two devices and the fact that one battery can take care of your trip for several devices.
