Griffin Release Woogie for Kids
      09/10/10 02:29 PM

Griffin has announced a Co-Op Initiative partnership with ScrollMotion, makers of the Iceberg Reader. The result of the partnership, called Griffin + Iceberg Kids, is Woogie, an entirely unique interactive children's experience that entertains and educates children, at home and on the go. Here is more info:

Woogie is the soft and huggable answer to that inevitable question: "Can I play with your iPhone?" Part stuffed animal and part protective case for iPhone and iPod touch, Woogie is designed to go wherever your kids are, be that at home, in the car, or anywhere else a stuffed animal can go. Woogie features two built-in speakers (powered by included AAA batteries) to play with Iceberg Kids eBooks, music, videos, and more. The six legs (or are they arms?), made from soft, non-toxic fabrics, allow easy carrying, and tuck underneath to prop Woogie up for handsfree viewing.

Also available with the Woogie is the free Iceberg Kids Sesame Street eBook sampler app for iPhone and iPod touch, featuring "Elmo's Birthday,""Big Bird's Nest," and "The Fix-It Shop." The interactive app allows children to follow along with their favorite Sesame Street characters in samples of three different stories. The app reads the story out loud and even allows parents and kids to record their own voices. Parents also have access to more than 150 additional titles, all Woogie-ready and available from the App Store.
