Acer Debuts the Aspire Timeline Ultra M3 15" Ultrabook
      03/06/12 03:49 PM

Acer is showing off the Aspire M3 of the Timeline Ultra family notebooks at CeBIT. The company is calling the Aspire M3 an Ultrabook even though it's 15" rather than 13", and has a spinning HDD and an optical drive. But it's 20mm (0.8") thick and that puts it in sexy, skinny Ultrabook territory even if the specs don't. Here is more info:

The Aspire M3 features dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GT640M graphics, the latest Intel Core processor, an ample hard disk drive, and an integrated solid state drive enables instant-on capability. An SSD-only configuration is also available.

The Aspire Timeline Ultra M3 is also the first 15" 2-spindle Ultrabook to feature an optical drive for DVD enjoyment. Other entertainment enhancements include Dolby Home Theater v4 and premium speakers. The professionally-tuned sound system delivers industry-leading high volume, clear dialogue and sound effects for music, movies and games.

In the Timeline tradition, this Ultrabook features 8 hours of battery life, an aluminum alloy back and a full-size chiclet keyboard with a numeric keypad makes typing more comfortable and increases productivity.

The Aspire Timeline Ultra M3 will be available in stores worldwide by March 2012.
