Two aspirational 15" notebooks with plenty of horsepower and graphics prowess. They're both good looking laptops with premium metal casings, plenty of style and they weigh 5 pounds or less. So how do you decide? The Asus ZenBook Pro UX501 is the decided budget champ among high end quad core laptops with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M graphics. It sells for $1,499 and you get some mouthwatering specs like a 4K IPS class display, 512 gig PCIe SSD, 16 gigs of RAM and an Intel Core i7-6700HQ CPU. The Dell XPS 15 Infinity starts at $999, but that's with a lowly Core i3 and no dedicated graphics. The models that compete with the Asus are $2,000 with 4K display and around $1,600 to $1,700 with a (albeit really lovely) full HD display.
